Recycling/Sanitation/Green Waste Center

We have a drop-off site for refuse, recycling and green waste collection at no additional charge for the Town residents only. Businesses are required by law to have their own dumpsters and are not allowed to use the Town Recycling/Sanitation/Green Waste Center (R/S/W). The R/S/W Center is located at N6285 Berlin Road.  Please check the schedule of hours above.

You need to have a Town of Brooklyn sticker for your vehicle. Please see one of the attendants at the Center if you do not have one, or if you have changed vehicles.

Items that we collect at the Center and must be recycled include:

1] Containers (aluminum, glass, plastic and steel) –

2] Paper/fiber products (newspapers, corrugated cardboard, magazines) –

The following items we do not collect and they are not allowed in the landfill. These have to be recycled.

1] Lead acid batteries (your old ones should be returned to the place you purchased the new one.)

2] Major appliances/TV's, computer hardware and other devices containing radioactive material and/or heavy metals – again the place you buy your new appliance should take your old appliances.

3] Yard waste

4] Used tires

5] Used oil

If you are located in the Sanitary District and have garbage collection at your home and do not get pick up, please call (920) 295-4488. The Town has nothing to do with missed collections.
