Call Meeting to order by Mike Wuest, Chair at 7:00 p.m. Present: Mike Wuest, Chair; Sydney Rouse, Harley Reabe, Mark Pettack, Ron Triemstra, Supervisors; Marian Mildebrandt, Clerk; Absent (Kathleen Morris, Treasurer) 2. Pledge of Allegiance said by all in attendance 3. Approve minutes of May 11, 2010 meeting. M/S Rouse/Triemstra to approve as corrected. Motion carried 5/0 4. Monthly Financial Review: a. Treasurer’s report – Summary of last month’s financial statements. b. Clerk’s report – Budget report (monthly) expenses and revenues 5. Assessor report – Elizabeth Rowley -Transferred information to the County. 6. Library report – Linda DeNell – Activities at the Library – Report on file. 7. Building Inspector report – Jerry Buhrow, Jr. – Building Permits issued. – 2 Permits this past month. 8. Fire Commission report – Orlo Bierman – Covering the monthly meeting. – Not here 9. City Affairs report – Supervisor Rouse – Monthly meeting of the City concerning Town of Brooklyn - City has not met since last meeting. 10. Road Report – Supervisor Triemstra – Concerning the conditions of the roads. Had bid opening yesterday. We are out mowing. 11. Recycling Report – Supervisor Reabe. Monthly activities at the Recycling/Sanitation/Green Waste Center. – Nothing new to report. Relatively busy. 12. Public Comments (15 minutes) . None 13. Consideration and Action on: Land/Sewer/Street Agreement with the City of Green Lake. No action – carried over. 14. Consideration and Action on: Updates for town computer (Clerk & Supervisor Rouse) – Discussion M/S Rouse/Reabe to approve the quote from Badgerland Computer Systems in the amount of $1745.00. Recommend that we use the $880 from storm damage. Roll call: Reabe, Yes; Triemstra, Yes; Wuest, Yes; Pettack, Yes; Rouse, Aye. Motion carried 5-0 15. Consideration and Action on: Installing trash compactors at Recycling/Sanitation/Green Waste Center, and/or expansion of said site (Supervisor Reabe) . Veolia suggested a compactor for the garbage. Wuest & Reabe went to look at a compactor in action in Redgranite. Received a quote for 2 ½ ton Compactor - Veolia would deduct any monthly payments paid this year toward the purchase in next year’s budget. Discussion. M/S Pettack/ Rouse to move forward on a lease agreement for the compactor with Veolia, and get a price for the concert slab, electric hookup, and anything else that has to be done. Motion carried 5 –0. 16. Consideration and Action on: Bids and quotes for hiring new assessor for Town of Brooklyn. M/S Wuest/ Reabe that Supervisor Rouse and Betty Rowley condense the applications and report back to the board at the next monthly meeting. Motion carried 5 – 0 17. Consideration and Action on Awarding road bids for 2010 (Supervisor Triemstra). 18. Received 1 bid from Northeast Asphalt of Fond du Lac. Bid was $272,893.45. M/S Triemstra/ Wuest to award the bid to NEA. The following roads are included: Grant, Hillside, North Court, Channel Road, Jane Street, Del Lane, Peacock Lane, & Lakeside Drive, with a total of $272,893.45. Discussion. Roll call: Reabe, Yes; Triemstra, Yes; Wuest, Yes; Pettack, Yes; Rouse, Aye. Motion carried 5-0 19. Plan Commission a. Both parcels in the Town of Brooklyn, Section 23, T16N R12E. Address of the site: W2961 Princeton Road; Planned public hearing date: was held June 3, 2010 Requests: The owners/applicants are requesting a rezone from I-Industrial District to A-2 General Agricultural District. Wuest: Plan Commission recommendation was to put back into Ag district per Comp Plan. M/S Pettack/Reabe to approve the Plan Commission recommendation to re-zone to A-2 Gen. Ag. District. Discussion. None : Roll call: Reabe, Yes; Triemstra, Yes; Wuest, Yes; Pettack, Yes; Rouse, Aye. Motion carried 5-0 20. Consideration and Action on: a. Operator Licenses for Kayla Hoekstra and Ann Curtis – prorated until June 30, 2010 M/S Rouse/ Wuest to approve pro-rated operator licenses for Ann Curtis and Kayla Hoekstra thru June 30, 2010. Motion carried 5/0 A. Annual Operator Licenses: Kayla Hoekstra, Colleen Pariso, Christine Pariso, Joyce Machkovich, Sue Ellen Bloch, Vera Soda, Justin Nissen, Patricia H. May, Ryan Klingbeil, Kelsey Kasten, Anna Curtis, M/S Pettack/Triemstra to approve list as provided by Clerk. Discussion. Motion carried 5/0 b. Manufactured, Mobile & Recreational Mobile Home Community Applications A. Coachlite Mobile Home Park B. Green Lake Campground C. Sadie Hawk D. Chairman’s Report. Tree came down on Forest Ridge Road. 22. Suggested agenda items for next meeting. – Compactor, City agreement, control of weeds, Clerk program to access computer.
