NOTICE: Members of the Town of Brooklyn Board may attend the Town of
Brooklyn Plan Commission meeting at the above-specified time and
place. Members would attend for the purpose of gathering information
regarding the following Agenda. The Town Board members at this meeting
will take no votes or other action.

Minutes 

1.	Call meeting to order  by Mike Wuest at 6:00 p.m.
Present: Mike Wuest, Chair; Gordy Farrell; Ron Triemstra; Elizabeth
Francour; Harley Reabe; Orlo Bierman; Roger Priebe, Jr.; Marian
Mildebrandt, Clerk; Absent: Sharon Esslinger
2.	Pledge of Allegiance said by all in attendance       
3.	Approve minutes of the last Plan Commission from March 5, 2009. M/S
Triemstra/Reabe to accept minutes as presented. Motion carried 6-0
4.	Public Comments: (15 minutes) None
5.	Applicant: Estates of Lawsonia- Lindenwood Development LLC. For:
Final Plat Approval and Developer’s Agreement;
6.	Public Hearing: 
In Favor of Plat only: 1) John Davel, rep. Lindenwood Development.
Explained change in plat with public roads, per county agreement.
Closed – 6:05 p.m.
Against plat only: 1) Jenna Walker – Sorenson Law Office & Town of
Brooklyn resident; Discussed letter from Dick Martens; discussion –
also letter from Beth Stephenson was handed out and letter from Tom &
Edie Johnston
Closed 6:10 p.m.
Commission had time to read the letters presented. Discussion. Legal
counsel will be 20 minutes late. Discussion 
7.	Consideration and action on:
a.	Final Plat Approval – M/S Reabe/ Triemstra Move that the final plat
be forwarded to the Town Board, recommending approval on the grounds
that it reasonably conforms to the preliminary plat. Discussion none: 
Roll Call: Orlo Bierman, Present (Abstained); Elizabeth Francour, Yes;
Roger Priebe, Jr., No; Gordy Farrell, No; Harley Reabe, Yes; Ron
Triemstra, Yes;  Motion carried 3  Yes;  No – 2   Abstain 1
b.	Developer’s Agreement – Attorney – explained – it is a statement of
policy, M/S  Farrell/Reabe Move that the Development Agreement be
referred to the Town Board for action on the grounds that it is a
policy document and not a land use plan and as such is not suitable
for consideration by the Plan Commission. Discussion: None. Roll Call:
Orlo Bierman, Yes; Elizabeth Francour, Yes; Roger Priebe, Jr., Yes;
Gordy Farrell, Yes; Harley Reabe, Yes; Ron Triemstra, Yes. Motion
carried 6-0 
8.	Suggested agenda items for next meeting - 
9.	Set date and time for next meeting – Will call next meeting is
necessary.  
Beth Stevenson – Carpenter Lane arrived late  – Wuest gave her
permission to speak. Stevenson – presented a map of ABA Explained her
position on the plat. 
10.	Adjourn. –  M/S Reabe/Priebe to adjourn, Motion carried 6-0   6:55
p.m.
