Members of the Town of Brooklyn Board may attend the Town of Brooklyn
Plan Commission meeting at the above-specified time and place. Members
would attend for the purpose of gathering information regarding the
following agenda. The Town Board at this meeting will take no votes or
other action.
Minutes
1. Call meeting to order By Mike Wuest at 7:00 p.m.
2. Pledge of Allegiance said by all in attendance
3. Certification of Open Meeting Laws
a. Public Hearing notice and agenda
4. Roll call of Plan Commission members: Mike Wuest, Chair; Orlo
Bierman; Mary Jane Bumby; Roger Priebe; Harley Reabe; Ron Triemstra;
Alternate Joann La Mire; Absent: Sharon Esslinger

5. Lawsonia Inc and American Baptist Assembly Preliminary Plat
Owner: Lawsonia, Inc. and American Baptist Assembly c/o Ken
Giacoletto Agent: Davel Engineering, Inc. Tax Parcel # and
Description: Parcel numbers for Lawsonia, Inc. 004-1776-0000,
004-1777-0000, Parcel numbers for American Baptist Assembly
004-0724-0000, 004-1780-0000, 004-0725-0100, 004-0728-0000,
004-0728-1600, 004-0728-1400, 004-0728-1300, 004-0731-0000,
004-0732-0000, 004-0872-0000. All parcels located in Section 25, T16N
R12E, and Section 30, T16N R13E. Town of Brooklyn Location of
Premises Affected: Generally located south of State Road 23, site
known as Green Lake Conference Center Explanation: Preliminary plat
for Estates of Lawsonia.

Steve Sorenson. There are 3 plats. We are not sure what plat we are
dealing with.
Issues: cul-de-sacs / public road frontage/ variance requests/ size
of lot issue 1.2 acre lots not ½ acres
No sanitary easements
Run-off issues
Lake access pier slips being offered.
#1 issue comprehensive plan requires lot size 1-2 acres.
Dick Martens Green Lake reasons against.
1. Lot size
2. Road layout-design cul-de-sacs 2 are long.
3. No GLSD approval
4. Pyramid piers
5. All reports have not been submitted.
6. Developer has failed to submit data that says land is suitable for
development
7. (correction to minutes also covered was the eagles in the area
and the chestnut trees}
Wis. Stat. 236.13 Preliminary Plat law under comp. Plan (smart
growth).

c. Plan Commission discussion and deliberation
Plan Commission decision M/S LaMire/Reabe to deny Preliminary Plat
as presented.

Motion to deny the Preliminary Plat for Lawsonia, Inc. carried 6-0
6. Lawsonia Inc and American Baptist Assembly Rezoning
Owner: Lawsonia, Inc. and American Baptist Assembly c/o Ken
Giacoletto Agent: Davel Engineering, Inc. Tax Parcel # and
Description: Parcel; numbers 004-1776-0000, 004-1777-0000,
004-0731-0000, and 004-0732-0000, Located in Section 25, T16N R12E,
and Section 30, T16N R13E. All parcels located in the Town of Brooklyn
Location of Premises Affected: Generally located south of State
Road 23, site known as Green Lake Conference Center Explanation:
Owner/applicant is requesting multiple zoning changes on the site in
question one being a change from R-1 Single-Family residence
District to C-2 Extensive Commercial District and changes from RC
Recreational District to R-1 Single-Family Residence District.

d. Plan Commission decision. M/S Reabe/Bierman to deny the zoning
request from R-1 to C2 and RC R1.

Priebe Yes; Reabe Yes; Triemstra Yes; Alternate LaMire Yes.
Motion to deny the Rezoning for Lawsonia, Inc. carried 6-0
7. Adjourn M/S Reabe/Bierman to adjourn. Motion carried 7-0
9:30 p.m.
