Minutes – FOR Plan Commission

1.	Call meeting to order by Mike Wuest at 6:00 p.m.
Present:  Mike Wuest, Gordon Farrell, Harley Reabe, Orlo Bierman, Ron
Triemstra, Roger Priebe, Betty Francour  Chris Robinson arrived 6:10
p.m.  
2.	Pledge of Allegiance said by all in attendance
3.	Approve minutes of the last Plan Commission meeting from January 8,
2009 MS Reabe/Bierman to approve minutes, Motion carried 6-0   
4.	Public Comments: (15 minutes) None
5.	Presentation from Mark Hazelbaker on City of Green Lake/Town of
Brooklyn Intergovernmental Agreement. 
Hazelbaker: It’s important that the Plan Commission gets to put input
into this agreement. It has been an on-going planning process. He gave
background on history of the agreement. The two communities are
inter-dependent. From the article in the GL Reporter there are people
in the city that don’t want to agree to that.  One part of agreement
the City would give up the extra-territorial area and the Town will
not change their comp plan. He explained the agreement. Discussion
followed by the Plan Commission. Bierman, we will have to wait to see
what the City wants to change. If they don’t want any agreement, then
it’s done. 
Hazelbaker – would like to know what the group thinks about the
agreement. Would like motion to endorse the present course subject to
feedback from the city. Discussion: Farrell thinks it’s a good
agreement.   Wuest, need to get some feed back so we can go forward.
The City and Town board have voted to move forward. M/S
Triemstra/Farrell that we accept this agreement in concept as
presented tonight and that we pursue it with city and wait for their
response.  Discussion: Roll Call. Farrell, Yes; Francour, Yes; Reabe,
Yes; Bierman, Yes; Triemstra, Yes; Priebe, Yes.   Motion carried 6-0. 
 
6.  Items for next Plan Commission Agenda – Next meeting March 5, 2009
6:00 p.m.
7.	Adjourn. –     M/S Reabe/Bierman to adjourn. Motion carried 6-0
8:10 p.m.
