TOWN OF BROOKLYN NOTICE OF PLAN COMMISSION MEETING January 8, 2009 6:00 PM Town Office — N5988 County Road A ---- Green Lake, WI E-mail: townofbrooklyn@centurytel.net Web: www.townofbrooklyn.com NOTICE: Members of the Town of Brooklyn Board may attend the Town of Brooklyn Plan Commission meeting at the above-specified time and place. Members would attend for the purpose of gathering information regarding the following Agenda. The Town Board members at this meeting will take no votes or other action. Minutes 1. Call meeting to order by Mike Wuest at 6:00 p.m. Present: Mike Wuest, Chair; Gordon Farrell, Harley Reabe, Sharon Esslinger, Orlo Bierman, Betty Francour, Ron Triemstra, Chris Robinson, Marian Mildebrandt, Clerk, Absent: Roger Priebe. 2. Pledge of Allegiance said by all in attendance. 3. Approve minutes of the last Plan Commission meeting from November 6, 2008. M/S Triemstra/Reabe to approve as presented. Motion carried 7-0 4. Public Comments: (15 minutes) None 5. Consideration and action: a. Public hearing on: Landowner/applicant: Lindenwood Development, LLC. c/o Doug Crusan, W2301 Stone House Road, Green Lake, WI 54941. General legal description: Part of the fractional NW ¼ of Section 30, T16NR13E, Town of Brooklyn. Address of site: W2301 Stone House Road; Planned public hearing date: January 8, 2009. Request: A conditional use permit to create a subdivision specific model home/sales office in a residential zoning district for the Estates of Lawsonia subdivision. Public hearing closed: - no one present. Discussion by Plan Commission. Wuest: indicated that the county board made the changes to allow this to happen. They have applied for the permit and paid the variance fees. Talked with County and have several conditions that we should address. Triemstra: in the packet, Sheet 3 that shows the plat, the note says area to be re-zoned. We are not rezoning at this time. Wuest: no rezoning is not included in this action. Triemstra: thinks it should be change on the exhibit. Bierman: what are the conditions? 1. Deed specific exclusive for Estates of Lawsonia Development only. 2. Residential appearance. –, to keep it looking residential. No big trucks or construction equipment parked in this area. 3. Allow adequate parking for 12 stalls and have it handicapped accessible. 4. Lighting of area, not to be a problem to adjacent properties. 5. 2-year review of conditional use. 6. If the building is not used or abandoned for a period of 6 months the conditional use would expire. 7. Existing building or the foot print of original building cannot be changed 8. When last lot is sold, the existing building would be turned back into residential building within 60 days of sale. 9. Signage: Allow 1 sign according to county ordinance for signage. M/S Bierman/Reabe that to accept the request for a conditional use permit to create a subdivision specific model home/sales office in a residential zoning district for the Estates of Lawsonia subdivision with the 9 conditional uses listed above to the Town Board. Discussion on the motion – none. Roll Call: Robinson, Yes; Francour, Yes; Bierman, Yes; Esslinger, Yes; Farrell, Yes; Reabe, Yes; Triemstra, Yes. Motion carried 7-0 6. Forward Plan Commission recommendations on conditional use permit to Town Board. Next Tuesday night meeting January 13, 2009. 7. Suggested agenda items for next meeting. Comp Plan. From attorney. Clerk has to make changes and then Commission will get copies. Then have to have a public hearing 30 days after Plan Commission approves. 8. Set next meeting date & time – subject to call by Chairperson. 9. Adjourn. – M/S Bierman/Farrell to adjourn 6:30 pm. Motion carried 7-0.
