Call Meeting to order. By Mike Wuest, Chair at 7:00 p.m. Present: Mike Wuest, Chair; Susan McConnell, Supervisor; Ron Benson, Supervisor; Kathleen Morris; Treasurer; Marian Mildebrandt, Clerk; Elizabeth Rowley, Assessor. 2. Pledge of Allegiance - Said by all in attendance 3. Approve Minutes of December 12, 2006, M/S Ron Benson/Susan McConnell to approve the December 12, 2006 meeting corrections. Motion carried. December 14, 2006 M/S Susan McConnell/Ron Benson to approve with corrections. Motion carried. and December 28, 2006 meetings. M/S Susan McConnell/Ron Benson to approve the minutes Motion carried. Corrections were made to the actual minutes so that they would be in the correct meeting for future reference. 4. Financial Report a Treasurers Report 23% of taxes collected at the county. It will be paid out January 15th to the schools and county; M/S Mike Wuest/Susan McConnell to accept as presented Motion carried. 5. Approval of checks through January 8, 2007 Checks from 9386 9442 December 31, 2006 Totaling $46,640.52. M/S Susan McConnell/Ron Benson to accept the checks as presented. Motion carried 6. Library Report Linda DeNell on activities at the Library Jan 16th at 10:00 they will have a class on Baby Massage. Explained what some of the monies were spent on at the end of the year. They have 7 Internet stations now. Peace Lutheran students 1 & 2nd graders will be coming to the library once a month. Ripon Electric came in and replaced lots of lights, some have burned out already. 7. Building Inspector Report issued 1 permit for an alternation. 8. Fire Commission Orlo Bierman Report on monthly meeting with 1st Responders and Fire Commission. New member for city on commission Bruce Walker resigned, Mark Kramer was appointed to fill his appointment. They are still working on job descriptions. Next month the commission will go into closed session to discuss Fire Chief and 1st Responder director. They will replace breakout gear as it wears out, a few a year. Ron Benson, it was suggested that the fire people have been paid a wage for several years, would like to have direction on defending the salaries. Orlo Bierman that is why we are doing the job description. 9. Update from Building (Town Hall) Committee - Sydney Rouse the plans for the town hall have been finalized along with specification. The notice of bids has been published. The bids will be opened on February 22, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. No action will be taken at that time. Mike Wuest: Ron Peabody had a death in the family, so he will be running a day behind with getting plans out. 10. Discuss annual contract for Building Inspector Mike Wuest, we have never had a contract with Jerry Buhrow, Jr. so we thought we should have. All of the fees pay for his expenses. M/S Susan McConnell/Ron Benson to approve agreement with building inspection (see file) Roll Call: Mike Wuest. Yes; Ron Benson, Yes; Susan McConnell, Yes. Motion carried 3-0 11. New Business. a. Green Lake Campgrounds - conditional use permit and site plan Rick Pierce Item 9 will be removed from the conditional use. #10 suitable fencing if there is a problem the town will implement the fence. #12 deck or accessory buildings they will allow deck size the square of the camper and structure size 50 ft storage shed It will be 80 not 85 sites. Plan commission approved M/S Ron Benson/Susan McConnell to approve. Roll Call: Mike Wuest, Yes; Ron Benson, Yes; Susan McConnell, Yes. Motion carried 3-0 b. Rezone for Town of Brooklyn for new town hall from A-1 Exclusive Agriculture District to C-2 Extensive Commercial District. M/S Ron Benson /Susan McConnell to accept recommendation by Plan Commission: Roll call: Mike Wuest, Yes; Ron Benson, Yes; Susan McConnell, Yes. Motion 3-0 c. Conditional use permit for the Town of Brooklyn for town hall. Lighting, shaded landscaping will be done as process proceeds. Plan commission approved. M/S Ron Benson/Susan McConnell to approve Roll Call: Mike Wuest, Yes; Ron Benson, Yes; Susan McConnell, Yes. Motion 3-0 12. Discussion: update on Town/City agreements, also Park & Rec Talks/ Land Agreement talks. Elizabeth Rowley & Orlo Bierman have their first meeting tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. Noon at the Library. Town/City talks. The Town will have a closed session on 17th at 1:00 p.m. to get the attorney input on what will be happening. The attorney will be issuing statements on what we can and cannot talk about. 13. Public Comments Mark White He feels that they have been pushed aside. They were allowed to talk at the Green Lake City Council Public Information meeting and now they hear nothing about it. Some of the residents are talking about boycotting the new development on County A. Discussion was held on the annexation and what the city is doing. Mike Wuest, we will try to keep our people informed on what is happening, as far as what the attorney indicates that we can let out. 14.
