The following is the obiturary of Ron Benson who served as Town
Supervisor from Sept 1, 2001 thru April 4, 2005.

Ronald Jalmar Benson, 52, of Skunk Hollow Road, Ripon, died Friday,
April 11, 2008 at Ripon Medical Center in Ripon.

Ron was born in Neenah, WI on January 19, 1956, the son of Arthur R.
and Tessa (Waite) Benson. He received his BS in Chemical Engineering
at the University of Minnesota. He moved to Ripon and worked at Bemis
in Oshkosh until his retirement in 2004. He served as a Supervisor for
the Town of Brooklyn and as a Town of Brooklyn First Responder. His
greatest passions were woodworking, sailing, and being in his woods.

Survivors include his father, Arthur R. Benson of Bellingham, WA; 2
brothers, Richard and Reginald; 2 sisters, Karolyne and Kathryn; and
numerous devoted nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his
mother, Tessa Waite Benson.

Visitation for Ronald J. Benson will be held from 5-7:00pm, on Monday,
April 14, 2008 and again on Tuesday, from 1-2:00 pm, April 15, 2008,
at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.

Funeral Service for Ronald J. Benson will be held at 2:00 pm, on
Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at the Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon.
In Lieu of flowers, people are encouraged to plant a tree to remember
his love of the forest, or memorials may be made to the Town of
Brooklyn First Responders.
