June 11, 2008 Assessment Information
Town of Brooklyn Assessment facts Property owners in the town were recently mailed a new notice of assessment, an explanation letter along with a copy of an article published by the Wisconsin Taxpayers Alliance. A detailed sales analysis was performed and a valuation model built to develop uniform and equitable values relative to the current market for all properties. The average increase was 28%. If your assessment increased by this percentage, your tax bill mailed in December 2008 will resemble last year’s amount due.
